Threds Thrift is an upcycled streetwear project designed to challenge the fast fashion industry. Built from discarded denim and fabric scraps, each piece features custom stitching, bold orange detailing, and a unique Threds Thrift tag. The collection blends grungy aesthetics with ethical purpose, launched through a local pop-up where all proceeds were donated to International Justice Mission to support survivors of human trafficking. This project is a statement on sustainability, creativity, and fashion that gives back.
THREDS THRIFT
MY ROLE
I led the entire creative direction and execution of Threds Thrift, an upcycled clothing brand focused on ethical fashion and social impact. I designed and hand-sewed each piece using discarded garments and fabric scraps, developing the brand’s visual identity and signature details, including orange stitching, a left-side hem, and custom tags. I directed and styled the full photoshoot and videoshoot, took all the photography, filmed and edited the final video, and built the ThredsThrift.com website to showcase the collection. I also organized and hosted a launch pop-up event, curated a thrifted retail section, and raised $135 in donations for International Justice Mission through product sales. This project brought together fashion design, art direction, content creation, and advocacy in a fully self-driven, hands-on process.
